Reiki is a Japanese word meaning ?Spiritually Guided Life Force Energy?. It was rediscovered in the 1800?s by Dr Usui of Japan. Since then it has spread in popularity throughout the world. Tera-Mai Reiki was developed by Kathleen Milner in the 1970?s and is said to be particularly powerful as it is more in tune with the energies of people now rather than the 1800's. The attunement process is not manmade but connects with the Source of All. All Tera Mai teachers agree only to attune students exactly as taught so as to keep the system pure. A Reiki healer learns how to channel this healing energy after being attuned to it by a Reiki Master. It is not a religion or a cult. There is no necessary belief system, although your beliefs may change when you experience it. The energy promotes healing, stress management and energy renewal. It also assists with personal and spiritual growth. Ki or chi is the life force energy we all need to live. We experience an exchange of this energy all the time. If someone is angry we may feel the tension. If someone smiles we smile and feel happier. Visiting a poorly person in hospital can make us feel drained. Martial artists focus this energy to increase their power in Aikido or Tai Chi. Many ancient healing systems throughout the world work with this energy. Reiki supplements your own Ki or life force energy to clear blockages and give your body greater power to heal on a mental, physical or emotional level. Tera-Mai Reiki is a modern system of Reiki, which is said to open up a wider channel and gives you more power to heal. For many years I had Tibetan Reiki at Masters level, so I can confirm that Tera Mai is very powerful. Kathleen Milner has also recovered Reiki symbols which had previously been lost or forgotten. You practice healing and learn the hand positions for treatments. You can do self-healing and work on family and friends or combine it with other therapies. Cost £80 (concessions available) Reiki 2 Reiki 2 introduces ancient symbols, which are the keys to distant, mental and emotional healing. It allows you to work on life issues in a much more powerful way and often develops your intuition and connection with your guides. Cost £120 Reiki 3 This is a momentous step, taken when you have an inner knowing that you are ready for greater power and responsibility. To make this more affordable I can give Reiki 3 separate from Reiki Master as a teacher. It also gives you more time to assimilate the massive amount of the information and knowledge given.
