As children we are very susceptible to influences. In fact we quickly learn from what people, like parents or teachers, tell us. Experiences are powerful because everything is so new. As we get older we've seen it all before and it has less impact. All our memories are stored in the subconscious mind, which controls our behaviour. When there is a conflict between the conscious mind and the subconscious mind, the subconscious always wins! Yet we are left wondering what went wrong? Why did we sabotage ourselves? Why did we fall prey to fears and doubts?
There is also a History level of beliefs, governed by Past Lives or the Collective Unconscious. Many healers now have been healers in many lives before when it was dangerous to be a healer or psychic. They often have beliefs (held for so long that they have now turned into programs) of "I will be killed for being psychic", "I will be killed for being a healer", "It is dangerous to heal", "I must sacrifice my sight for another", "I have boundaries on healing", or even "I hate God". These beliefs and many more may also be genetic if the gift of healing comes through the family. Obviously these programs prevent the healer from fulfilling their potential. I've treated very spiritual people who have been working on themselves for
many years but until now, they have been unable to clear these deep blockages.
This really does empower the healer to realise their potential. On a recent
ThetaDNA Healing workshop, I told my group of students that I was going to test
them for genetic prejudices so we could get rid of them. Each healer in this
group was an amazingly high spiritual being but each and every one was holding
reams of hatred for different races and religious sects! Of course there was no
guilt or shame- it was all on a genetic level and they had no consciousness of
it until we tested but it still prevented them from being true beings of light!
